The City of Yellowknife calendar may not reflect all event cancellations and updates at this time. As the situation around COVID-19 continues to evolve, the City encourages residents and event organizers to follow the latest guidelines on public gatherings in Yellowknife, as advised at https://www.hss.gov.nt.ca. The health, safety and wellbeing of all community residents and our staff is the City's top priority, for more information on what the City is doing, visit www.yellowknife.ca/covid-19.
The NWT Recreation and Parks Association and WAMP / Western Arctic Moving Pictures are joining forces to host the Paddling Film Festival in Yellowknife.
Rapid Media's Paddling Film Festival showcases the world's best paddling films to audiences in Canada, United States and around the world. The festival inspires more people to explore rivers, lakes and oceans, push physical and emotional extremes, embrace the lifestyle and appreciate the heritage of the wild places we paddle.
Tickets are $15. Proceeds from the event will benefit Camp Connections and Northern Youth Leadership.
A big thanks to our door prize sponsors: Overlander Sports, Barren Ground Coffee, and more to come!
The Paddling Film Festival is produced by Rapid Media. Rapid Media also publishes four leading paddle sports magazines: Rapid, Adventure Kayak, Canoeroots and Kayak Angler magazines. Your ticket to a Paddling Film Festival World Tour stop includes a free one-year digital edition subscription to one of the above magazines. Special offer details are available in your evening program.
