Free Event: Try Sivananda Yoga

Event Details


You are invited to try the world-renowned Sivananda style of Yoga, in a 1 hour and 45 minute class that is aimed at those who have never practised this style of yoga before, or who are interested in learning more about the fundamentals of Sivananda Yoga.

Sivananda Yoga is a classical and holistic approach to Hatha Yoga that stretches and tones the whole body and elevates the mind and spirit.

The class will aim to be a relaxed and supportive environment where participants will be invited to explore the Sivananda Yoga sequence including breathing, sun salutations, and a variety of the 12 classical yoga postures under the guidance of a 200 hour certified yoga instructor, Aislinn Stirling.

WHEN: Wednesday, June 28th, 7:15 PM-9:00 PM

WHERE: Collective Soul Space studio, Lower level of Scotia Centre on Franklin Avenue
***Please use front door of building, closest to For Women Only, all other doors to the building are locked after hours***

COST: FREE! This event is free to the public and is sponsored by NWT Recreation and Parks Association as part of June Recreation and Parks Month.

Participants please wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you like, but yoga mats and props will be available to participants free of charge. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your ability to participate please contact the organizer, Yoga with Aislinn Stirling, to address your concerns.
