Cancer Peer Support Program -Yoga for Healing and Health

Event Details


This is a gentle, mindful therapeutic yoga class for people who have had or have cancer. No previous knowledge of yoga is required. Most movements will be done on the floor and are nourishing and energy conserving to promote healing and finding a new balance after the experience of cancer. Each class will work on breath awareness, gentle movements and relaxation techniques.

Your Instructor: Regina Pfeifer, a former Northerner, is a certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT) and with the Canadian Yoga Alliance (CYA-Gold), as well as being an Ayurvedic & Yoga Wellness Counsellor. Regina works with people who have experienced cancer, have chronic and persistent health concerns and pain, or find themselves in life transitions that require shifting and rebalancing. She runs her therapeutic yoga business, Centre Balance ( on Vancouver Island.

This program will take place over Zoom, details will be provided on registration.

This program is available to all NWT women who have experienced a cancer diagnosis or a caregiver to someone with cancer. Registration is limited and FREE for participants.
